MOLSONS Invests 1.88 Billion RMB to Build New Factory in Mexico, Expanding Overseas Production Capacity

In December 2025, MOLSONS announced an investment of USD 261.7 million (approx. 1.88 billion RMB) through its subsidiary "MOLSONS Mexico" to build a comprehensive manufacturing and technology complex in the Laguna region of Durango, Mexico. The project aims to create a core manufacturing and export hub for the North American market.

I. Core Project Information

- Investment Entity: MOLSONS Mexico (subsidiary of MOLSONS)

- Location: Laguna Region, Durango, Mexico

- Project Positioning: A comprehensive R&D, manufacturing, and logistics complex for LED lighting, display modules, Mini/Micro LED products, etc.

- Construction Phases:

1. February 2026: Phase 1 factory commissioning, creating approximately 200 jobs.

2. 2026–2027: Industrial-scale expansion to boost mass production capacity.

3. 2028–2030: Completion of the Engineering and Development Center; upon full production, the facility will directly employ 3,500 people and drive supporting industry clusters.

- Capacity & Market: Targeting the U.S. and Latin American markets, leveraging USMCA tariff exemptions to strengthen localized supply and delivery efficiency.

- Existing Foundation: MOLSONS' older Mexico facility began production in Q3 2024; this new project represents an upgrade and capacity expansion to mitigate implementation risks.
